Accuracy and data

This is a planning estimate, not a booking quote. Your result combines your inputs with any selected illustrative starting amounts. Confirm hotel charges, taxes, fares, and ticket prices with each provider. Refundable holds are separate from expenses; the remaining balance assumes your prepaid amount covers costs already included in the total.

How the Las Vegas trip budget calculator works

Room price is multiplied by hotel nights and rooms. Resort fees are added per room-night unless you confirm a waiver or use an all-inclusive nightly quote. The entered tax rate applies to the room charge and, when selected, the resort fee. Hotel parking is a separate amount for the entire stay.

Food uses separate daily amounts for adults and children. Flights and activities are entered per traveler, while transfers, local transport, shopping, and other extras are group totals. The budget cushion applies to expenses before the optional gambling limit. No winnings are assumed.

Trip cost per person divides the full estimate equally among all travelers. That is a planning average, not a promise that a child and an adult will spend the same amount. The daily figure covers the whole group, including flights if entered. Your remaining-to-pay figure subtracts the prepaid amount once.

Worked examples with stated assumptions

These scenarios use illustrative inputs from our shared data, not hotel offers. All amounts are USD.

Two adults, three nights, four days

Illustrative nightly room $150, fee $50, tax 13.38%, one room; food $65 and drinks $15 per adult/day; activities $120 per adult; transfers $60, local rides $25/day, and 10% cushion. With no flights or other extras, total $1,892; $946 per person. Tax treatment is assumed for this example, not verified for a booking.

Two adults and two children

Same room, nights, transfers, local rides, and 10% cushion. Food is $50 per adult/day and $25 per child/day; activities $80 per adult and $40 per child; no drinks or flights. Estimated group total $1,848. This assumes no extra-occupant charge; add any quoted charge.

Build a Las Vegas vacation budget from your quotes

Start with a hotel quote for your actual dates. If it already includes resort fees and tax, select the all-inclusive option so the calculator does not charge them twice. Add any extra-person, pet, or other hotel charge to hotel extras, including its tax, if it is absent from the quote.

Use your likely meal spending rather than the preset as a target. Food and drink entries should include the tax and tips you expect to pay. For a bachelor party, divide shared table, transfer, or venue charges across the group only once; do not also add the same spending to per-person activities.

A rental car and daily rides can both appear in your estimate, but only enter the services you intend to use. Include fuel and rental insurance in the all-in rental cost or extras. Do not add hotel parking twice if you transferred a parking result into the hotel section.

What the estimate leaves for you to check

The calculator does not fetch live airfares, room availability, show tickets, or currency exchange rates. Enter an average per traveler if flight or activity prices differ. Prices supplied by you remain your inputs, even when a hotel’s published resort fee is verified.

Deposit holds can affect available card credit even though they are not trip expenses. Enter the full quoted hold and check when your bank releases it. The displayed prepaid deduction is a cash-planning aid; it does not change the trip’s total cost or calculate card authorization rules.

Las Vegas trip cost questions

How much money do I need for 3 days in Las Vegas?

Set trip days to 3 and enter your actual hotel nights separately. Add the hotel quote, three days of food and local transport, and your planned activities. The result reflects those choices rather than a single spending allowance for every visitor.

How do I calculate a Las Vegas trip cost for 2 people?

Set two adults, then choose the rooms and nights you will share. Room and group costs are counted once; food, flights, and activities use their labeled per-person amounts. The result shows both the group total and an equal per-person share.

Does this Las Vegas trip cost calculator include flights and hotel?

Yes, if you enter them. Flights are round-trip amounts per traveler, and the hotel section includes the room price and selected fees. Leave flights at zero for a ground-only estimate and read the result with that exclusion in mind.

How much should I budget for food in Las Vegas?

Enter the meals, drinks, tax, and tips you expect each person to spend per day. Separate adult and child food inputs let a family avoid applying the same allowance to everyone. The starting amounts are illustrative, not a survey of restaurant prices.

Can I use this for a Las Vegas weekend or bachelor party?

Yes. Match the days and nights to your schedule, then include shared group expenses in extras or transport. Add per-person tickets to activities and keep nightclub minimums or shared tables out of that field if you already entered them as a group expense.

Are gambling and refundable deposits included in my budget?

Gambling is an optional whole-group spending limit outside the percentage cushion. Deposit holds are displayed separately and never counted as expenses. Neither field predicts losses, winnings, bank release timing, or a provider’s actual authorization amount.

Data sources & review dates

Property fees and parking rules are checked against official pages. Property tax applicability must be confirmed on your quote; the prefilled rate is an editable planning assumption. Fee and parking data is due for review after 30 days. Unverified data is never described as a confirmed price.
