The Sphere Las Vegas bag policy is simple but strict. Sphere operates as a no-bag venue, so large purses, backpacks, totes, and camera bags should stay at your hotel. Only small bags measuring about 6 inches by 6 inches by 2 inches are permitted.
Medical bags and diaper bags are exceptions, but all bags may be inspected visually or by X-ray. Sphere also does not provide a bag check or coat check, so arriving with an oversized bag can create a problem before your show.
What Is the Sphere Las Vegas Bag Policy?
Sphere allows small clutches, purses, and fanny packs measuring no more than approximately 6″ x 6″ x 2″.
That is much smaller than a normal handbag. Bring only essentials such as your phone, wallet, ID, keys, and a few small personal items.
Sphere Bag Size Limit
| Policy Details | Sphere Rules |
|---|---|
| Maximum Bag Size | Approximately 6″ x 6″ x 2″ |
| Small Purses | Allowed within size limit |
| Fanny Packs | Allowed within size limit |
| Backpacks | Not permitted |
| Medical Bags | Allowed after screening |
| Diaper Bags | Allowed after screening |
| Bag Storage | Not available |
Sphere does not require a transparent bag. A small solid purse or fanny pack is acceptable as long as it fits the size requirement.
Are Backpacks Allowed at Sphere?
No. Backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside Sphere.
This includes regular backpacks, travel backpacks, large drawstring bags, and other bulky bags. Do not assume a clear backpack automatically qualifies.
Even if your backpack looks small, using an approved clutch, purse, or fanny pack is the safer choice.
Medical Bags and Diaper Bags
Sphere makes exceptions for medically necessary bags and diaper bags.
These items can exceed the normal small-bag allowance when required, but they are subject to additional screening, which may include visual inspection or X-ray.
If you have medical needs that require special items, contacting Sphere before your event can make the entry process easier.
Does Sphere Have Bag Storage?
No. Sphere does not provide an area to check bags, coats, or other personal belongings.
You cannot arrive with a suitcase, backpack, or oversized purse and leave it with venue staff.
If you have luggage after checking out of your hotel, arrange storage before going to Sphere. Your hotel bell desk may be able to hold luggage, but confirm directly.
This is especially important for travelers attending an evening Sphere show before heading to the airport.
What Else Can You Bring to Sphere?
An empty, clear, soft plastic reusable water bottle is permitted, and refill stations are available throughout the venue.
Outside food and beverages are generally prohibited unless needed for medical reasons.
Smartphones are allowed, but professional cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are prohibited. Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, GoPros, laptops, and tablets are also not permitted.
Other Prohibited Items
Sphere also prohibits weapons, toy weapons, pepper spray, laser pointers, fireworks, drones, costume masks, noisemakers, illegal substances, and outside alcohol.
Professional photography and recording equipment should also be left at your hotel unless your specific event provides different instructions.
Tips for Getting Through Sphere Security Faster
Bring your phone, ID, payment card, keys, and only the personal items you really need.
For the smoothest entry, compare your bag with the size limit before leaving your room. If it is even slightly oversized, switching to a smaller pouch can save time and prevent problems at security.
Download your mobile ticket before arriving and allow enough time to complete security screening.
Sphere is also a cashless venue, so you should have a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment method available for food, drinks, and merchandise.
Conclusion
The Sphere Las Vegas bag policy allows small purses, clutches, and fanny packs measuring about 6″ x 6″ x 2″, while backpacks and large bags are prohibited.
Medical bags and diaper bags are exceptions but require additional screening. Since Sphere does not provide bag storage, leave oversized belongings at your hotel.
Pack light, download your ticket in advance, and check the rules for your specific event before arriving.
